SAVE THE DATE! February 25, 2017: Getting IT Done @ Keck

Health and Technology & Engineering Program (HTE@USC), Center for Health System Innovation, Keck Medicine of USC (CHSI) and The USC Viterbi School of Engineering invites students (engineering, medicine and business), clinicians, faculty and staff to participate in a workshop titled:

Getting IT Done @ Keck:
Drafting an Unofficial Guide for enabling information technology innovations in USC’s health care system

Saturday, February 25, 2017
USC’s Health Science Campus (HSC)
The Eli and Edythe Broad CIRM Center for Regenerative Medicine and Stem Cell Research

We will bring together innovators, change agents, doers, programmers, and implementers from across USC. Using presentations and discussions we will develop pathways and guidance for the successful implementation of innovative IT solutions that address the needs faced by clinicians and staff at Keck Medicine of USC. Students will meet important stakeholders who are seeking to improve various areas of concern including: changes in reimbursement incentives, reporting requirements, research needs, and consumer/patient demands that collectively exert pressures on healthcare delivery across the USC Health Network.

New technology, software, and service delivery approaches offer solutions that face a range of obstacles toward design and implementation. Participants will highlight barriers, identify facilitators, and create action plans to enable successful implementation of innovative solutions developed both internally and externally.

Discussion Leaders will include: Dr. George Tolomiczenko, Dr. Carol Peden, Joan Brown, Dr. Daniella Meeker, Larik Malish, Tomio Daumit and Professor Rahul Jain and Alex Wormuth.

Detailed agenda will be emailed with RSVP.

The organizers cordially invite and emphatically support any USC student, faculty member or Keck employee to contribute to innovation by participating in this workshop. Continual development and implementation of innovative IT solutions improves patient care and the overall impact of Keck Medicine of USC!

If you would like to be a discussion leader or if you have questions, please email (by February 20th) Nadine Afari at nafar@usc.edu
