Disruptive Innovation in Patient SafetyJune 17, 2016

The USC Center for Health System Innovation joined with the California Patient Safety Action Coalition to put together a thought-provoking program on the Health Sciences Campus of USC.  Healthcare providers, students, and administrators gathered to discuss important topics in patient safety, including:

  • Understanding the value of patient and provider co-design for safety across the continuum of care
  • Identifying ways to expand patient safety beyond the traditional hospital setting
  • Investigating five high-leverage principles for “flipping” primary care
  • Learning about some recent concepts in patient safety from around the world
